The Impact

That message was how Sonnet planned to hurt people who had provided her with support and trust for many years.

The news travelled fast across the message boards that she had been a member of for years. Dozens of people were shocked that someone in their community had been so depressed to take their own life. People who knew her personally started contacting her home to see if they could help her family in any way. Friends and acquaintances cried for her, her husband and her two young daughters. Generous people were considering how they could assist her daughters who were now facing the horror of a life ahead without their mom. Memories of personally devastating experiences came flooding back to people who had lost someone close to suicide. People who were suffering themselves overlooked their own pain to despair for this young mom.

BUT IT WAS A LIE, A COMPLETE FABRICATION, posted on a public blog.

  1. Is this for real? Surely someone wouldn't really do this. All they had to do was close down their site (like they did!). There was no need to do something so ghastly. Gee, I hope they've enjoyed the attention, I hope it was worth it for them.
    Shame!
But why do you care so much to go to so much trouble to expose them?
